What is Hedgiecapped?
Hedgiecapped is my online persona where I share my art, stories, and random thoughts. The name comes from Handicapped and Hedgehog smooshed together!
Are you disabled?
I am, that is how I get the "handicapped" part of my name. I have multiple neurological issues and that all stems from a car accident. There are periods I cannot walk, periods I cannot do daily tasks, etc. Things can get hard, but I really use art as an escape and get to enjoy myself and create a world that I can live in and be happy in! I do want to ask that you are patient with posible late updates, broken website pages, or some weird funky stuff that might come up. I do my best :)
Where can I find your art?
You can view my art in many differnet places! I post updates on Bluesky and tumblr. I post my webcomic on Tapas and Webtoons, Finally, I have an art page on this webcite. Check out the links page for all the links to where I post Here.
Can i find you on facebook/instagram/twitter/tiktok?
Sadly, no. I do not believe in the way those are run, or the people who own/run them. So I will not be on those platforms. If you find someone on that platform, it is not me. I will only be posting to Bluesky, Tumblr, this website, and the webcomic websites. If this would change, you'll be the first to know!
What inspired the Sugar and Spikes comic?
The Sugar and Spikes webcomic is a labor of love from many years of inside jokes about hedgehogs. I got the name hedgehog about 7 years ago and the lore and story behind each of our plushie hedgehogs (and myself) has only grown. I am really excited to keep sharing my little internal world with you.
When will new episodes come out? When do you update the website?
Sugar and Spikes releases new episodes every Wednesday at Noon EST (9am PST). I update the website as I get the energy to, it can be quite the challenge sometimes! I have an "updates" section on my homepage where you can see what I update and when I update it (Disclaimer: Small updates don't always get an update log entry!).
